$10 Mass Effect Trilogy in GameStop’s Summer Sale

By Viet Do . July 31, 2014 . 4:30pm

While Steam and other digital retailers had their Summer sales earlier in the season, GameStop went its own way (like most of their business practices). This week GameStop finally launched their Summer PC Download sale which has new round of deals rolling out every few days until August 11th.

For this week, the top pick from the sale would be Mass Effect Trilogy for only $9.98, or $20 off the usual $29.99 MSRP (but lets be honest, no one pays MSRP anymore). Perfect deal for those that haven’t gotten a chance to enjoy driving endlessly in a space car on a randomly generated barren planet. Super fun, trust us.

In other PC gaming sales you’ll find Kalypso titles on sale at GMG up to 75% off instantly. On top of that any titles still priced over $10 can use a 20% off coupon for additional savings. The best deal in the sale is the recently released Tropico 5 for only $24 – currently a new lowest ever price. Lastly, Titanfall and its Season Pass is on sale over at the Origin Store, somewhat of a good timing given the new “Frontier’s Edge” DLC was released earlier today.

I’d plunge because I want to play the first ME, but… there’s that rumor about trilogy getting the PS4/XboxOne treatment.

    • subsamuel01

That was just a rumor doubt it was true, I just played the entire trilogy on PS3.

    • Even if they do, you’d have to wait awhile for it to reach the comparable $10 price range. Really just depends on which platform you prefer to play on though.

I’d recommend not getting the PC version since there is no controller support and the game was designed for controllers – imo it’s really awkward on the PC.

I played all three versions (unfortunately) on the PC, and never had a single control issue; they play fine.

The only thing that felt like it was designed for a controller was the conversation menu; I can see how that would possibly be smoother, if more inaccurate, on a controller.

I know this article is for PC deals, but here’s are some deals on a PS3 game and two 3DS ones

Anarchy Reigns is $4.99 at Gamestop. Looks like it isn’t available online anymore, but I can confirmed it was in stores at that price. Sadly, PS3 only for those who want it on X360.

I also saw Mario Sticker Star and Prof. Layton and the Miracle Mask for
$9.99. I don’t know if anyone price matched GS yet though. Didn’t see Layton at my visit to GS today, but I definitely saw Sticker Star at $9.99 in stores!

…so how much does Game Stop pay you guys?

      • MrSirFeatherFang

Haha, I found these deals myself.

If they payed me, I would be able to actually order stuff from their site. I am pretty much blacklisted/banned from ordering online from GameStop. Don’t ask me why or how it happened, even I don’t know. My opinion about GameStop is for another day and for another article though :v

  • Darkrise

Unfortunately only U.S residents can get the deal.

  • sunK1D

ME was the best series last generation for me.

  • LustEnvy

If only Mass Effect supported controllers natively.
