Monster Hunter celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, which will also see the release of Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate in Japan. While the upcoming game’s main monster Serlegios has a golden body, Capcom does one better with an actual gold Felyne statue.
The Rathalos armor-wearing Felyne’s gold status weighs 120g (0.26 lbs) and is made in 24 karat gold. It measures at a height of 90 mm (3.5 inches,) width of 55 mm (2.16 inches,) and a depth of 125 mm (5 inches).
However, the golden Felyne statue won’t be for everyone, as it’ll set you back by a total of 2,990,000 yen (roughly $29,145) plus tax. Additionally, you can only buy 10 at the most, you know, just in case you felt like getting more than that.
Just imagine how many Serlegios scales are needed to craft this masterpiece!
Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is slated for release in Japan on October 11, 2014, and in the West in early 2015 for Nintendo 3DS.
