Tomb Raider GOTY Reaches $6 Low (Plus More Weekend Deals)

By Viet Do . August 16, 2014 . 11:00am

Update: Deal’s dead as of this morning. GMG swapped Tomb Raider GOTY out for Dishonored GOTY.

For the last week the UK based digital retailer Green Man Gaming has been running an interestingly named “50 Games You Must Play Before You Die” sale with instant discounts up to 75% on select titles that they think we should play (aka buy) before we bite the dust. Every 4 days they’ve been releasing ten new titles on sale. The best deal in this sale over the weekend is six bucks Tomb Raider Game of the Year Edition, which is down to 80% off after stacking coupon + instant savings.

In other PC gaming deal news this weekend, GameFly Digital is running a 75% off sale on classic Valve titles. The best deal is a rare discount on Valve’s Orange Box. In this PC gaming bundle you’ll get Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode 1, Half-Life 2: Episode Two, Team Fortress 2, and Portal for only $4.99 (normally $20). (Granted TF2 is now free but this is still a great Valve bundle).

The last item on the docket would be the Fall 2014 pre-order deals I mentioned on Thursday, which got a coupon extension until August 22nd. The only one interest me out of the bunch would be Civilization: Beyond Earth, which I’ll be playing Day 1 (and honestly if you’re not going to be playing Day 1 there’s little reason to pre-order).

  • This, boys and girls, is why you don’t buy AAA titles at launch.

    • Definitely. Even on consoles, this kind of thing is happening more and more often. Between things like PS Plus and Games for Gold – not to mention PSN Flash Sales – you can totally nab “AAA” for cheap, on any platform.

      Except Nintendo :P

      They don’t roll like that.

      • Don’t I know it. Just looked up kid icarus uprising prices online earlier ._.

    • Bio438

Yep then the company goes out of business.

  • Ali

Seriously, why are AAA’s so incredibly cheap? Deus Ex HR, less then $2? Toilet paper costs 3x that amount! (Yes, I get the super soft, most but oh so durably luxurious aloe-vera scented version)

  • Those are some [email protected] prices! I def. recommend Tomb Raider GOTY :)

  • Darkrise

Welcome to pc gaming people, where games can go lower than $20 discounted used games.
