    Give it… now.

  • Dianatos

Now is the time the decision. Will you avoid spoilers? +1 Chaos for no. +1 Law for yes.

    • Smooosh

Well I wont actively search for them, but I wouldn’t care if I got spoiled either… so I guess neutral? :d

    • Kaetsu

Law! I’ve avoided Persona Q so far so hopefully I can do the same for Ultimax.

      • colorblindnightmare

LAW. Much as I love Chaos…..I hate spoilers more

    • ThatGuy3190_7

I will avoid spoilers but I won’t avoid the gamerips and OST.

    • KingGunblader

I’m not worried about being spoiled. Of all the fighting games I’m terrible at (which is most of them), I’m especially terrible at ArcSys games.

    • Sky

Law+. I must submit myself to the music..

    • God

      Chaos infinty+1.

    • mckun

Can I just pick the fourth Alcor option and go “Some spoilers only?”

      • Dianatos

Pretty sure the Alcor option was to import the game.

        • mckun

-Zooms to go import right now-

    • thrak

Can you believe someone who always chooses Law now will choose Chaos only for spoiler’s sake?..;) Better believe it, cause I am doing it

    • MinakoArisato

      + Law

I want to se it first hand…

  • Kaetsu

I wonder how well Persona will sell. The first Arena sold 138,286 units(360+PS3) in it’s first week so I’d imagine this one will sell more.
    Maybe 180,000?

    • Afternoon Intergalactic

Did it really sell that much in its first week? That’s more than I expected- I’m glad that I was a part of that number, and in a few days Ultimax’s as well.

    • James Reilly

Keep in mind it sold roughy 128k for just PS3 considering the sequel is now only PS3 exclusive for Japan. Then again game won’t be region locked this time so possible higher sales due to importing. There was also more marketing campaigns this time around for their persona titles so that may be a playing factor too.

It all depends if Persona fans in Japan will still love the novelty of a 2d persona fighter (One of the reasons why it worked was the freshness appeal) and see the new plot/characters as enough justification to purchase the sequel copy.

I doubt it will reach Persona Q numbers that got around 186k since that game doesn’t have a higher entry barrier like fighting games do which can turn off some potential persona consumers. Then again as far as fighting games go it is one of the lower entry games which is why it has more arcade activity then BB CP or GG XRD right now.

It will be a flop though if it didn’t past the 100k barrier. I’m predicting somewhere between 120k-145k.

Updates rarely sell as well as the initial release, so I can’t imagine it doing that much better. The changes they’re making seem great, but I don’t see that drawing in a significant number of new players, and there are certainly people who bought the first and didn’t like it enough to buy it again. (Especially at full retail price.)

I’ll be curious to see how it does, but it wouldn’t be unsual or surprising if it sells less. Considering it is an update it wouldn’t be a failure if it did.

    • Kaetsu

Persona 5’s velvet room is obviously going to be a strip club. Igor’s nose would be so hard…

    • Sky

Margaret with shades… i see, she’s trying to be fresh. Respect. Keep it real Margaret.

    • Nagi

if only i could upvote more than once :<

    • mckun

      I can’t unsee this.

  • Milewide

They are releasing three “Love Live!” idol games at the same time? How is that a good thing =/

    • Kaetsu

More Love Live is always a good thing!

      • Milewide

Famitsu didn’t seem to agree with that =/

        • M’iau M’iaut

Similar to [email protected], these are the already existing sub groups of Muse.

    • Daniel Gulyas

It’s really common to break Idol rhythm games by girls. Each game will have different songs and it gets people to double dip. Spoken from somebody that’s doing everything he can to not order two immediately.

  • DesmaX

Oh, Metro Redux is out this week.

Maybe I’ll start playing 2033 then

  • darke

Sacred 3? What did Japan do to deserve that? :(

Granted it’s a pretty average game, so without being the 3rd in the Sacred series it would still be ok; but as a ‘Sacred’ game, it sucks terribly. :(

  • Daniel Gulyas

Picking up my copy of Love Live this week. Hype.

  • Quizler

Is Persona4 Arena Ultimax even available for the 360 in japan?

    • Lan

Did you read the article? “While Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is a multiplatform release in West, the fighting game will only be released for PS3 in Japan.”

  • Pdugna

I’m really hoping for a great showing in the Media Create numbers for P4U2 and slightly for Toukiden Extreme.

  • Rawindra

New Challanger? what does it mean?

    • Shippoyasha

It’s just a phrase that you get in Street Fighter and some other games when a second player joins and you have to fight them. Basically meaning a new fighter is entering.

  • thrak

Okay, it seems now that the game is coming out, promotion period for Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is about to end…It can mean only one thing. Persona 5!!!!!!! We are entering the era of promotion of Persona 5!!!!!! (Oh, And Dancing All Night, of course)
