Kamen Rider Drive And Others Show Us How It’s Done In Kamen Rider: SummonRide

Bandai Namco recently announced Kamen Rider: SummonRide, a new game that is compatible with figurines, similar to Skylanders, where players can place Kamen Rider characters on a portal. The latest trailer shows us how it works.

Starting at the 1:12 mark of the video, you get a look at the Ride Gate, which acts as a portal entrance for your Kamen Rider figures to enter an alternate world. Once you place a figure, they’ll be summoned into the game, where they must save the world of fairies, called the Crystal World.

The next part shows all kinds of different stages with fire, water, and wind element attributes. The figures also have different elements out of fire, water, wind, light, and dark. Rider elements will play a big role in how you’ll take on these elemental stages.

Additionally, there are two types of “Ride Chips” that can be used to help you out in the stages. The Enhance Ride Chip powers up your Rider with a form change and power-up. The Ally Ride Chip lets you call out a support character.

You can level up the Rider figures to increase their parameters and evolve their special attacks. Your figure will register the data, so it’ll be unique to the way you want it. By having up to four figures, you and three other players can tag-team together for a four player co-op session, which sounds like it could be pretty fun while taking on a bunch of enemies from Shocker.

Kamen Rider: SummonRide! will release in Japan on December 4, 2014 for PlayStation 3 and Wii U.
