PC’s Final Fantasy XIII-2 for 32% Off, Plus Steam & PSN Gift Card Deals

By Viet Do . November 13, 2014 . 3:02pm

On October 9th of this year, Final Fantasy XIII was ported to PC, and now it’s only a matter of weeks before the December 12th PC debut of Final Fantasy XIII-2. Pre-ordering the game on Steam Store takes 10% off the $19.99 MSRP. The deal is significantly better at GMG, though, where a 25% off coupon code stacks with the 10% off instant savings, cutting the final price to $13.50.

For those PC and PS4 gamers thinking ahead to the upcoming Steam and PSN Winter Sales, this is worth checking out. Today on eBay Deals, a new $10 off coupon showed up for gaming items $50 and up. This coupon works on $50 Steam and PSN gift cards, dropping final prices to $40. Shipping is free, and since the deal is through Best Buy’s eBay page, you can choose free store pickup and get the card right away.

Just a note: the eBay coupon is a SINGLE USE code per account, so you have to choose your $10 savings wisely. The coupon expires tomorrow before midnight, and as most of the deals are from US retailers, it only works in the US. (Sorry everyone else.)

  • carlospsp

    Valkyria!!! BOUGHT!!!

    • Have 6 hours in so far. Just kept spec’ing into scout heh..

but the hard mode skirmishes you definitely have to think about things a bit. good memories.

      • carlospsp

Skirmishes are the worst, specially the one with Edy’s detatchment

  • So there are those deals we listed on AC: Rogue but I’m pretty sure the game is completely crap and should be avoid at all possible.

For die-hard AC franchise fans, maybe wait till it shows up in the $5-$10 bin? I don’t know.

    • darke

Ironically from all I’ve been reading it’s Unity that’s buggy crap that’s been rushed for a holiday release and Rogue has been a solid follow-up to the previous version.

I’m guessing this is why Ubisoft has been rather non-existent with the advertising. Can’t have the ‘spinoff’ last-gen version getting better headlines then the current-gen one after all. :P

  • scdk

Damn, I guess they’re shipping a physical card? Couldn’t they just take a picture of the code and email it to me? Oh well, it’s free shipping and I guess I can wait for a 20% discount.

    • Heh although a lot of reseller work that way, Best Buy doesn’t unfortunately. If you have a Best Buy nearby and you’re willing to head to the store… you can go that route?

  • Txu Zai

FFXIII-2 could have been a great game but Sarah as the main character, urgh.

    • Haha. Everyone I know played 13, Lightning Returns and purposefully skipped XIII-2.

I think everyone is eagerly waiting for the last PC port, probably (and also hoping it would be a better port)

      • Txu Zai

The game itself i find pretty good but she’s just…annoying.
Heck i even liked Noel, xD

        • monkey king

You could just switch noel to be the main character though…, you don’t have to control serah.

On another note, GOG has just started their Big Fall Sale. Unlike some of their previous sales, this one is just a straightforward sale with almost the entire catalogue 50% off, two bundle deals every 24 hours and a special deal on a individual title every 40 minutes.

As is usual for them, they are offering a free game; this time it is Mount & Blade. If you want it, you still have about 14 hours to claim it. In addition, if you visit the site every day for seven days and “collect stamps” (if you visit the site, it will make sense), you will also get the Witcher 2 for free.

    • Dont-leave-us-Atlus

Im addicted to GOG like a mother but i already have the Witcher 2 bought it awhile back before it went on sale wonder if i can give it to someone

      • Tom_Phoenix

Yes, actually, you can gift a free game code to someone. However, do keep in mind that, unlike purchased game codes, free ones have an expiration date.

    • Not sure why we forgot to mention GOG’s sale (probably cuz it started earlier in the week and for some reason thought we did already).

      Will add!

    • Daniel Rossevelt

Damn thanks for the heads about the Witcher stamps, hope I’ll remember to check everyday, guess I’ll make it my start page :)

  • ReMeDyIII

Final Fantasy XIII-III-II Lightning Returns again II.

  • The-Beast

Damn man, you guys are lucky to have awesome deals like this every week! Here in Brazil console games are really expensive, with launch titles going about $80-$90 (considering the minimum wage here is +/- $300, that’s crazy expensive!). And plus you get promotions often, I mean AC Unity just launched and you can already find it for $40, while here we still have launch titles at full price! In PC things even out thanks to Steam and Nuuvem and some other great services. I’m so envy of you guys !

    • Sora96

They’re charging about $100 in Australia. And that’s even for Type-0 HD.

      • pokeroi

However Australians earn much more than Brazilians…

    • magicalfollower

Yeah, being a console gamer in Brazil is such a pain…

But PC is quite nice thanks to Steam. :)

  • Jesus Christ

With FFXII-2, it appears that they’re learning this time since it’ll finally have resolution options beyond 720p, 60fps, and graphics options. Still, I’ll wait until for a bigger discount since I already bought it for ps3.

  • Yan Zhao

Hmm might hit up that 40$ 50 credit PSN card.

  • Poked

Now or never… Bayonetta 2 I’m going to get you!
