Metroid II Fan Remake Shows Off Its Latest Screenshots

Another Metroid 2 Remake (AM2R), which is the most well-known fan remake of Metroid II at this point, is coming along nicely. Earlier in the year, the entire game was ported into GameMaker: Studio, resulting in better performance and other improvements. Now, in his latest update, the game’s developer has shared a few new screenshots.

The most drastic improvement in the latest build of the game is to Area 4, which now uses a brand new custom tileset, giving it more personality. Additionally, Samus’ Power Bomb animation is currently being tweaked as well. In addition, the game is receiving a new, original area, called Area 5, which will be shown off at a later date.

You can view screenshots from AM2R’s latest build below.
