Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Trailer Recaps The Game’s Story And Features

Recommended Videos

Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth will have plenty of Digimon for you to collect and train, but the game’s story will also have you do plenty of detective work between the real world and cyberspace. The latest trailer shows us more of its story and gameplay.

The trailer starts out with the beginning of everything, and how it all started with online chatrooms. Before they knew it, a hacker appeared, and offered them a wonderful present, but also tells them that they must login to EDEN, otherwise he’ll hack them. The young protagonist logs in, and meets Digimon.

However, the protagonist then encounters an “Eater” then gets thrown into the real world with his/her body digitally affected. As it turns out, this digital effect has also been going on in the real world.

In order for the protagonist to regain his or her full body, detective work in Cyberspace Eden will be required, in order to figure out exactly what’s been mixing the real world and cyberspace as one.

The 3:36 mark of the video shows a little more on the game system. Upon encountering Digimon, you can scan them for data, then make them into your own allies. The Digimon evolve by gaining experience points.

Next, we see the battle system. The fights are based on an active-turn system where you’ll get to stun enemies, break their attacks, and more. The Digimon can also connect their attacks together for a powerful combo attack.

At 4:30, we get to see the Digifarm, where you can grow and train your Digimon to your liking. There are up to 230 possible Digimon to make, train, and add to your party. You’ll need all the help you can get in order to crack the case of cyberspace.

The 5:03 mark of the video shows a coliseum area, where you can play against NPCs, and also fight your friends to test out who has the stronger Digimon.

Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth is slated for release in Japan on March 12, 2015 for PlayStation Vita.
