The Great Ace Attorney’s Second Case Is Based On A Sherlock Holmes Story

We’ve seen details on The Great Ace Attorney’s first case, where Ryunosuke Naruhodou finds himself in trouble as a suspect. He then lands himself in trouble yet again, but this time, he’ll receive help from the great detective, Sherlock Holmes. Here’s a look along with details on the game’s second case.

 

The second case is based on The Adventure of the Speckled Band, one of Sherlock Holmes’ 56 short stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

The case takes place on a steamship called The Araclay that is headed to London. After a few days into the voyage, Ryunosuke finds himself in trouble with another case, and again, becomes a suspect in the incident.

Ryunosuke needs to find a way to prove his innocence before they reach London, and desperately looks for some kind of proof with the help of Susato. During their search, they find a clue marked as “Madara’s String,” and what appears to be some kind of hidden message written on the floor.

Wherever there’s a mystery, you’ll find Sherlock Holmes. While he doesn’t exactly care for others and only wants to find the truth out for himself, he notices the possibility that Ryunosuke is not guilty of the crime.

This is how the great ace attorney will meet the great detective for the first time, as getting help from Holmes will be a big part of gathering the right evidence to prove Ryunosuke’s innocence.

Nikomina Bolshevich:

Nikomina is from a Noble Russian family, a 15-year-old prima ballerina from the Novavic Ballet Troupe. In order to defect to the United States, she ran away from the ballet troupe by herself.

 

Mitrov Straganov:

Mitrov is a senior crew member of The Araclay steamship. He’s a stout Russian, and he was on duty as the guard of the first class cabin section during the night of the incident.

 

The Great Ace Attorney will release in Japan on July 9, 2015 for Nintendo 3DS.
