3D Gunstar Heroes has some bonus features for fans of Treasure’s side-scrolling shoot ’em up. Pick Full Spec Mode and you can arm yourself with any of the fourteen weapons in the game. Mega Life mode gives players double the amount of lives they would usually have which should make 3D Gunstar Heroes easier to clear.

Gunstar Heroes supports local wireless multiplayer, but both players will need a copy of the game. Like other Sega Ages re-releases, players can choose between the Japanese or American version of the game, toggle a tube TV filter on or off, and blast through the game in 3D. Grab a pair of red and blue glasses and you can watch this trailer in 3D.
3D Gunstar Heroes comes out on June 24 in Japan.
