Dragon Quest VIII On Nintendo 3DS Will Have A New Alternate Ending

Recommended Videos

Dragon Quest VIII on Nintendo 3DS will add various new features like a camera mode for taking photo booth-like pictures, but it’ll also have a new ending, according to this week’s issue of Jump magazine. [Thanks, @Kazu4281.]

While we still don’t know much about the story of this alternate ending, the magazine leaves us with clues of “a surprising development,” “a furious King Clavius,” and “a depressed protagonist”

Again, the magazine also reveals that there will be a new dungeon that is available upon beating the game. It’s called “The Ultimate Trial,” where you’ll get to find a never-before-seen “purple treasure chest.”

Dragon Quest VIII will release in Japan on August 27, 2015 for Nintendo 3DS.
