It has come down to the last two videos in Capcom’s introduction series for all 14 weapons in Monster Hunter X with the Heavy Bowgun and Bow. Here’s a look at what they bring to the table in the upcoming 3DS title.
First is a look at the Heavy Bowgun, which will let you handle it the exact same way with powerful shots as you have in previous Monster Hunter games when you go with its Guild Style. The Heavy Bowgun isn’t known for its mobility, but its Aerial Style gives them an extra jump to their game when it comes to getting around monsters.
The Heavy Bowgun’s Hunting Art “Super Nova” is the one that probably stood out the most when we first got a look at the game. It’s a charge shot that creates a powerful explosion upon impact.
The bow is considered one of the more versatile and tactical weapons of Monster Hunter. Using their various shots it had in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate with the Guild Style will let you pick up where you left off with its hit-and-run style. Their Aerial Style allows them to shoot an arrow in mid-air, along with a follow-up hit.
“Accel Rain” is the name of their Hunting Skill, and it’ll be a useful one as it grants them increased speed for movement and faster charges for their abilities.
Monster Hunter X will release in Japan on November 28, 2015 for Nintendo 3DS. You can also check out our previous reports for a look at the following weapons:
Insect Glaive and Light Bowgun.
Great Sword, Long Sword, Sword and Shield, Dual Blades, Hunting Horn, and Hammer.
