Over five million 3DS owners have downloaded and played Pokemon Shuffle on the Nintendo 3DS. To celebrate the performance of the free-to-play, match-3 game from Genius Sonority, the legendary Pokemon Diancie is appearing for an in-game event.
Until September 28, the Diancie stage is available in the section of Pokemon Shuffle. After “Checking In” and downloading the Extra Data, people will find the Diancie Commemorative Event with the other Special stages.
Players will have 20 turns to defeat Diancie. Upon the first successful completion of the stage, one Jewel will be awarded to each player. People who defeat Diancie will also have a chance to capture the legendary, which is a pure Fairy type in the free-to-play game. (There are no dual types in Pokemon Shuffle.) She’s a fierce opponent that will continually freeze the center four blocks almost every turn as part of her disruption. If she is caught, she comes with the Barrier Bash+ ability and has 70 attack power.
The Diancie stage will be available in Pokemon Shuffle until September 28. It is only available in the Nintendo 3DS version of the game, and it hasn’t been announced if or when she will appear in Pokemon Shuffle Mobile.
