Rise Of The Tomb Raider’s Woman vs. Wild Shows Lara Croft Surviving In Siberia

With the Tomb Raider reboot, we saw Lara Croft not only fighting enemies and exploring areas to discover secrets, but also attempting to survive on her own after a devastating wreck. Rise of the Tomb Raider will continue that tradition, though Lara is more in control this time as she explores Siberia in hopes of finding the city of Kitezh and the secret of immortality. To help people understand what Lara will face, a series of Woman vs. Wild games have been released.

The first Woman vs. Wild Rise of the Tomb Raider trailer explains how Lara needs to learn to survive in Siberia alone after an avalanche. She and her partner, Jonah, are separated, so she’s left with no supplies and only her wits. It starts by showing some of the animals, like bears, wolves, and leopards. It shows how she’ll need to upgrade her weapons and ammunition, showing how pelts and other items can keep her alive. These weapons will also prove helpful in facing members of Trinity, who are also look for Kitezh.

The video also goes over Rise of the Tomb Raider’s hubs. These are two and three times larger than the first Tomb Raider. NPCs will inhabit these areas and are known as Remnants. They will aid Lara if she’ll perform tasks for them. She can get abilities, experience, items, and even find out about new places to visit if she takes the time to connect with these characters.

Xbox One owners will be able to play Rise of the Tomb Raider on November 10. People with PlayStation 4s and Windows PCs will have to wait until 2016.
