Bandai Namco previously shared a glimpse at their “0rder” battle system that involves a synchronization between your partner Digimon and their feelings. The latest update gives us a few more details on how it works.

In Digimon World: Next Order you’ll go out on adventures with two Digimon partners in your party.

The battles consist of getting your pair of Digimon to cooperatively fight together, with an AI battle system that revolves around the synchronization of their feelings. The Digimon will be able to attack separately and also cover for each other.

Your partner Digimon will act on their own, and you can provide them with buffs by cheering them on whenever you see them putting in some good moves in battle.

The L and R button can be used to switch between your two Digimon so you can keep a closer eye on their actions. You can also use items with the triangle button, and change your tactics up with the square button. Other than that, the Digimon partners will be doing most of the work.

As previously reported, all of the Digimons’ growth will be shown in real-time. This includes everything from training, interaction, and discipline, which all affects how the Digimon grows.

Digimon World: Next Order is expected to release in Japan in 2016 for PlayStation Vita.
