Yesterday, Sega hinted it would have an announcement for people who loved the “classics” on January 21. Now that it is that day, we’ve learned Sega 3D Classics Archives 2 will be released outside of Japan as the Sega 3D Classics Collection. People who pick it up will get nine Sega games with minor updates and adjustments, such 3D support and some new features.
These are the nine games playable in the Sega 3D Classics Collection.
- Altered Beast
- Fantasy Zone II: The Tears of Opa-Opa
- Fantasy Zone II W
- Galaxy Force II
- Maze Walker
- Power Drift
- Puyo Puyo 2
- Sonic the Hedgehog
- Thunder Blade
This marks the first time both Power Drift and Puyo Puyo 2 have been released outside of Japan. Also, of the games listed above, Fantasy Zone II and Maze Walker have not been released on their own on the Nintendo 3DS eShop.
The Sega 3D Classics Collection will be released on April 26 and cost $29.99.
