One of the Nintendo Wii’s most charming games is now available on the Nintendo Wii U eShop. Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros’ Treasure has become a Virtual Console title.
Appropriately enough, Zack & Wiki stars Zack and Wiki, a boy who wants to be a pirate and his monkey friend. While working with a group of pirates called the Sea Rabbits, the duo find Captain Barbaros’ skull. The skull explains how he’s been cursed and promises the two treasure and his ship, should the restore his body. The three go to seven different locations to collect treasure maps and parts of Barbaros in this adventure game.
Zack & Wiki is immediately available on the Nintendo Wii U for $19.99. As a Virtual Console release, it is now a candidate for off-TV play. However, given the motion-heavy controls, it may be better to play as originally intended.
