Polish developer Bloober Team has announced that its “psychedelic horror” game Layers of Fear will be out for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on February 16th.

In Layers of Fear, you play an insane painter who goes in search of his magnum opus inside a constantly shifting house. As the creators explain, “each turn of the camera may change the look of your surroundings.”

This labyrinthine house and its interior design is said to be inspired by the “architecture and décor from the XIX century.” Around this house you’ll see plenty of paintings hung on the walls or sat on easels, too. The style of these are inspired by the “masterpiece paintings from the past centuries.”

Layers of Fear has been available as an Early Access game on Steam since August 2015. In that time is has accrued over 2,500 user reviews with an “Overwhelmingly Positive” verdict summing up the overall feelings towards it.
