Star Ocean 5 Trailer Introduces Its Emotionless But Adorable Mage Relia

Square Enix released the latest of their character introduction trailers for Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness, and this one highlights the emotionless but adorable mage Relia.

The video starts out with Relia asking Fidel if it means she’ll have to part ways with Fidel and the others when they find her parents, and that she doesn’t want to part ways with everyone, but she wants to be with her parents and everyone else. Fidel tells her that if that’s what she wants, then it’ll likely happen.

In the battle part of the footage, we see Relia bust out some ability that freezes all surrounding enemies. The party members were pretty confused seeing what just happened.

The next part shows Relia using another ability that appears to heal everyone in the party, but it doesn’t seem like just any regular ability. The video ends with Relia telling the group that they’ve been there with her and she needs their help. She asks if they can help her out.

Here are some more details on Relia:

Relia is a mysterious girl who shows up in front of Fidel and Miki. She has lost her memories and emotion, but has decided to join Fidel and friends in order to get them back. She shows a bit of a childish side when it comes to speech which often melts the hearts of those around her, and she’s taken quite a liking to Miki. There appears to be a certain someone who is out to get Relia for currently unknown reasons.

Relia’s backpack and clothing were prepared by Relia. The character shown on the bag is called “Onigumo,” which is also seen on Miki’s weapon, appears to be a popular character in the world. Relia is special character who doesn’t participate in battles, but she’ll level up with the team as a support character. There’s more to her as well.

Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness will release in Japan on March 31, 2016 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. The game is headed westward in 2016.
