Pokémon Omega Ruby And Alpha Sapphire 2016 International Challenge March Registration Begins March 17

Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire’s next battle competition has been announced. People will be able to register for the 2016 International Challenge March starting March 17, 2016. This particular challenge is especially important, as the top 256 players in the Junior/Senior and Masters Divisions will each get Championship Points that will help them qualify for the 2016 Pokémon World Championships.


To participate, people must have a copy of Pokémon Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire with a Pokémon Global Link Game Sync ID registered, a Pokémon Trainer Club membership, and have been among the 50,000 people to register for the 2016 International Challenge March. People in North America, Europe, and Japan are eligible to compete. The actual Double Battle competition will run from March 25-27, 2016. All participants who participate in at least one battle will receive 2,000 Poké Miles.


Details on which Pokémon can and can’t be used are available at the official website. There are limits concerning which legendary Pokémon can and can’t be used, and Pokémon from Pokémon Black, Pokémon White, Pokémon Black 2, or Pokémon White 2 can not be part of a team.


Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are immediately available for the Nintendo 3DS. The 2016 Pokémon World Championships will be held August 19-21, 2016 in San Francisco, California.
