Late last year, Aksys announced it would release Acquire’s Absolute Interception Wars: Metropolis Defenders outside of Japan as Aegis of Earth: Protonovus Assault. Tomorrow, we get to play it. The PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita game will be in stores and on the PlayStation Store on March 15, 2016.
Aegis of Earth: Protonovus Assault is a tower defense game with a twist. Literally, there’s a twist. The city you’re defending is circular, and you rotate it to attack giant monsters with weapons. You have to keep turning it, to ensure enemies are within your range of assault. The city levels up as more people come to it, you can improve it between battles to increase its offensive and defensive capabilities, and there are also characters that will offer support during attacks.
Aksys has confirmed there are over 15 kinds of enemies that come at your city in Aegis of Earth: Protonovus Assault, with about 30 missions to complete. It will be $39.99 on the PlayStation 4, and $29.99 on both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.
