Street Fighter V’s Balrog Delivers Crazy Rushes And Gigaton Blows

Recommended Videos

Yesterday, we learned Balrog would be joining Ibuki when Street Fighter V’s June update goes live on July 1, 2016. Today, Capcom put together information on Balrog’s new moves, gathered some screenshots, and offered some hints at other content and characters we can expect in the coming months.

But first, Balrog. He made his Street Fighter debut in Street Fighter II. There, he worked under M. Bison as one of his Four Kings of Shadaloo. He’s still part of the villainous crew in Street Fighter V, using his boxing abilities to beat down opponents.

Here are Capcom’s official descriptions for Balrog’s V-Skill, V-Trigger, and Critical Art.

      V-Skill: KKB

A unique move that twirls his body while moving forward. While activated, you can dodge projectiles as well as string together attacks. You can even activate KKB before a special hits you, allowing you to be a technical inside fighter.

      V-Trigger: Crazy Rush

A chance to be the aggressor when activated! Steam rises from his body and allows you to string together specials like Charging Buffalo and Bursting Buffalo.

      Critical Art: Gigaton Blow

Unleash the fury from your fist with this simple, yet destructive critical art. It can be connected with various moves. Make sure to include it in your combos.

Capcom also went over some costumes and stages that will be released on July 1, 2016. Balrog’s story and premium battle costumes and Las Vegas Street Fighter II stage, as well as Karin Kanzuki’s premium summer costume and Kanzuki Family Private Beach stage. The art for Juri’s biker outfit and Urien’s suit were also shared.
