A King’s Tale: Final Fantasy XV New Footage Shows Off King Regis’ Moves

At the GameStop Expo today, Square Enix shared new footage of the pre-order bonus game for A King’s Tale: Final Fantasy XV. During the live demonstration, some of young King Regis’ combos and attack options are detailed.

“We’ve tried to really make it unique in the fact that it’s not just a hack and slash. You’re not just mashing buttons. There are certain enemies that will parry attacks, will block attacks, so you really actually have to be strategic on some of these things,” a representative from Square Enix stated. “It’s definitely not easy.”

“More than a couple” summons have also been confirmed to make an appearance, including Titan and Leviathan. Classic Final Fantasy enemies like Cactuar, Malboro, and Flan are also in the game; although, the main villain is something players uncover as they progress. Completing the main storyline can take players about two to five hours to complete the story. Additional time can also be spent on the Challenge Mode, where players are tested with timed tasks.

The full live stream can be viewed in the following video. Coverage of A King’s Tale: Final Fantasy XV begins approximately at the 22:20 timestamp.

A King’s Tale: Final Fantasy XV is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as an exclusive bonus to those who pre-order any version of the game at GameStop in North America.
