Arc System Works originally planned to release the updated 3DS port of River City Ransom in Japan in June, but it was changed to TBA. The game will now release in Japan on October 27, and it’ll no longer have local co-op.

The removal of local co-op in story mode was a change that was announced by Arc System Works. Other than that, they’ve revealed that the pricing of the game will also be lower, with the retail version going from 4,860 yen to 3,780 yen and the digital version from 4,500 yen to 3,500 yen.

Meanwhile, North America will get River City: Tokyo Rumble, the port of Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-Kun SP, the 2013 side-scrolling beat ‘em up on September 27, 2016 for Nintendo 3DS.
