Square Enix has just released a Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration launch trailer designed to remind everyone what this game, which originally appeared on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 back in November 2015 and PC in January 2016, is all about. While Lara Croft is investigating the Prophet of Constantinople’s tomb in Syria and attempting to earn about a possible secret of immortality, a group called Trinity appears. This hostile organization investigates the supernatural, just like Lara, and since she helped inadvertently further their search, she feels it falls to her to beat them to this artifact and secret to protect it.
The Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration launch trailer also offers some footage of this installment’s unique elements. The Blood Ties adventure brings Lara back to Croft Manor, while Lara’s Nightmare sends her against zombies. The Extreme Survivor difficulty kicks up the challenge, while Endurance lets you try to survive with a friend. All past DLC, five classic Lara Croft skins, and a Tomb Raider III-inspired weapon and outfit are all available. The PlayStation 4 version also has PlayStation VR support.
Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration will come to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 11, 2016. Xbox One and PC players who own the original Rise of the Tomb Raider and its season pass will receive the new content for free. People who log into Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration between October 11-19, 2016 will receive 100,000 in-game credits. These can be used on the Remnant Resistance and Score Attack modes’ Expedition Card Packs.
