Nintendo announced that Pokémon Sun & Moon has surpassed the milestone of 10 million worldwide initial shipments, just a day before the game’s release on November 18, 2016, Dengeki reports.

The new generation, following Pokémon X & Y in 2013, has surpassed 10 million in worldwide initial shipments, breaking a record for all 3DS software. According to Nintendo, Pokémon GO, which released in July, had a big impact in the achievement by bringing in people new to the series and older fans alike.

Pokémon Sun & Moon releases in North America and Japan on November 18, and in Europe on November 23, 2016 for Nintendo 3DS.
