Media Molecule’s Dreams Beta Delayed

Recommended Videos

Last year, Media Molecule announced a PlayStation 4 game called Dreams. It is an experimental and interactive experience where people head into a dreamiverse to create their own dreams for people to share. You can play, create, tweak, and offer different presentations for people to see, thanks to an Imp that lets you place, edit, pull, yank, possess, and create within each dream. A beta was supposed to take place in 2016, and an official update from Media Molecule has delayed it.

In the Dreams update, Media Molecule explains what’s been happening with the game and why it wasn’t at the 2016 PlayStation Experience. It notes that it has been busy preparing the game. Things accomplished include a full feature set rough cut having been implemented, game campaign progress, and ground breaking on the QA/developer version of the Dreams beta trial. It promises updates in 2017, so people can see Dreams without having to deal with bugs and unfinished features.

Dreams is currently in development for the PlayStation 4. A new beta trial release window has yet to be announced.
