Link’s trusty steed Epona has joined the hero from the Zelda series on many adventures over the years, and it has been confirmed by producer Eiji Aonuma that the faithful horse will have a role in Breath of the Wild. [Thanks, NintendoEverything.]
Aonuma shared the information over on IGN Portugal, though specifics about Epona’s appearance were not divulged. Other horses will also be available in Breath of the Wild besides Link’s loyal steed, but those horses will first have to be tamed. Horses in the game will also boast different stats unique to them, including strength, speed, stamina, temperament, and bond.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will release for the Wii U and Nintendo Switch on March 3rd.
