Publisher Arc System Works revealed in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine that they’re releasing the latest of the creative sandbox games with Cube Creator DX for 3DS In Japan on April 27, 2017. [Thanks, Hachima.]

With block creativity being the main focus of the game, Cube Creator DX on 3DS adds three new modes:

  • Survival Mode: Take control of your avatar and survive the harsh world in this mode. There are new weapons and materials, as well as double the number of items that you can craft. There’s also an element that allows you to befriend animals and monsters.

  • Creator Mode: A mode that lets you freely create buildings and characters.

  • Stage Builder Mode: This mode lets you create your very own stage and then play them. There are also various “Gimmick Cubes” that lets you use things such as dangerous tramps and trampolines for jumping.

In addition to the three new modes, Cube Creator DX offers an online function that was highly in demand. This allows players to team up to create buildings, or even show off stages and worlds.

Cube Creator DX releases in Japan on April 27, 2017 for Nintendo 3DS. It’ll go for 2,800 yen retail and 1,852 yen (both plus tax).
