God Wars: Future Past, the upcoming PS4 and PS Vita tactical RPG based on Japanese folklore, was expected to release in Japan on April 13, but it’s been delayed a couple months to June 22, 2017.

According to Kadokawa Games, after taking a look all the feedback from the demo, they’ve decided to work hard on improving its quality, but in order to fix some of the issues that appeared while working on improvements they’ll need a little more time than expected.

The company apologizes for any inconveniences and are committed to bringing an even better product with the extra time. We’ll likely hear of a delay for the West and its new release dates sometime in the near future.

God Wars: Future Past releases in Japan on June 22, 2017 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
