FuRyu shared a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming Nintendo 3DS RPG, The Alliance Alive, with a demonstration on how its “Talent” system works and how it can be used to level characters the way you want.

By taking advantage of the game’s Talent system, you’re able to raise your characters the way you want. Talents are different for all the characters, and party members who don’t participate in battles still get points for them, so you won’t have to worry about using everyone evenly.

Talents are learned through the main menu, where you’ll get to check out all the different types that are available for your characters. There are various Talents to choose from out of ability, movement, martial arts, sword, great sword, and so on. Learning Talents costs points.

These Talents aren’t just your regular special attacks, but rather, there are all kinds of different Talents including some that help you survive. For example, one that makes you recover more SP each turn, and so on.

The movement type Talents have ones that make it so that enemies go after you less. You can check the 3:00 mark of the video to see a good example compared to when you don’t have that particular movement Talent.

The Alliance Alive releases in Japan on June 22, 2017 for Nintendo 3DS.
