The next wave of the Final Fantasy Trading Card Game is here. The Opus II series of cards has launched worldwide. It follows on the heels of Opus 1 released on October 28, 2016, that in turn was based on the Chapter I set released on February 25, 2011 in Japan.

The Final Fantasy Trading Card Game Opus II series brings 148 new cards to the game, all sold in booster packs featuring Squall Leonhart. It focuses on Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy VIII, Final Fantasy XII, and Final Fantasy XIV. There are no duplicate illustrations on the cards, and the game is available in English, French, German, Italian, and Japanese.

Future plans for the Final Fantasy Trading Card Game have been outlined. In June 2017, Final Fantasy IX; Fire and Water and Final Fantasy Type-0: Lightning and Wind Starter Set decks will be released. They’ll be followed by Opus III boosters in July 2017 and Opus IV boosters in October 2017.

Final Fantasy Trading Card Game Opus I and II are now available. Worldwide, the Opus series of Final Fantasy Trading Cards has sold 3.5 million packs so far.
