Last week, Japan had another calm week for video game software releases, where they saw the launch of a more affordable Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 as well as Entergram’s PS Vita port of the visual novel Rep Kiss. Here’s the latest from Japanese sales tracker Media Create with a look at software and hardware sales data from the week of April 10 through April 16, 2017.

First on the chart is Monster hunter XX at 43,941, with a life-to-date figure of 1,366,093. While not enough to meet its 2 million mark that Capcom hoped to have reached in March, Monster Hunter XX continues to impress with its #1 charting for the fifth week in a row.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is also enjoying its success at #2 on Switch with 20,888 units sold and #10 on Wii U with 4,740 units sold for a combined total of 25,661 copies sold in the week, about a month and a half after its release.

Mario Sports Superstars remains at #3 with 10,698 units sold on 3DS. 1-2-Switch also isn’t going anywhere, as Japan continues buying up the party game with 10,048 units sold to take #4. And it’s almost been two months since the release of NieR: Automata in Japan, but it continues to show consistency with 6,265 units sold to jump up to #5 after charting at #9 last week with similar numbers.

This week’s two new releases in the top-20 are Pro Evolution Soccer 2017’s more affordable “Konami the Best” edition which sold 3,381 units to place #14. The second new title is Entergram’s visual novel port Rep Kiss on PS Vita which sold 2,918 units in its debut to take #18 of the week.

Video game software sales remained pretty low for the quiet week and hardware sales didn’t see much action either, but the Nintendo Switch continues performing well with 45,673 units sold, jumping from its 41,193 the week prior. Going by Media Create’s numbers, the Nintendo Switch has sold 650,878 units in Japan since its March launch.
