Fire Emblem Heroes’ 1.3.0 Update Brings Arena And Voting Gauntlet Changes

Recommended Videos

Fire Emblem Heroes’ 1.3.0 update is live, and with it comes a few changes to the Arena mode as well as the Voting Gauntlet, which begins its mage waifus and husbandos edition starting May 12.

Until this update, players received Hero Feathers as a reward for their rank. However, starting with ver. 1.3.0, players will receive rewards based on a tier system. The best part—they now include Orbs.

Orbs become available in Tier 4 and up in addition to Hero Feathers. Starting this update, all participants will receive a reward, but the higher the rank a player gets, the better the rewards they get as they advance through tiers.

At the end of a season, players will be promoted or demoted through the tiers according to their rank. Until now, promotion was based on high score each player achieved. Starting ver. 1.3.0, Arena placement will be based on a player’s ranking within their own tier. Keep in mind that starting Tier 8 and above, it is now possible to be demoted.

Additionally, Bonus Heroes will now affect defense score with double the score when you have a Bonus Hero in the party. To mix things up a little, there will be new maps for Arena as well. These new maps have defensive terrain, giving 30% extra Def or Res to any Hero on it.

The arena will open with the new rules starting tomorrow.

The next big change is for the Voting Gauntlet. Starting with this upcoming Voting Gauntlet, a limited-time boost will go for the army fighting at a disadvantage. If your army is at a disadvantage, the number added to the score when you vote will be multiplied by 3 for a limited time.

This boost not only affects the total score of the army that’s at a disadvantage but also each player’s total personal score. Neither armies get a boost while at equal strength.

The next Voting Gauntlet starts May 12 and ends May 18. It has a Mage theme with Linde, Tharja, Sanaki, Julia, Leo, Henry, Robin, and Merric. An EXP x1.5 event also kicked off with the 1.3.0 update, and it’ll be available through May 15.

Adjustments to the levels of enemies in the Eighth and ninth Strata of the Training Tower have been made. There’s also been a change in maps as well. Gameplay tips will now be shown on the loading screen.

Fire Emblem Heroes is available on iPhone and Android.
