A pair of monstrous, shadowy creatures will work together to cross grayscale worlds and strange landscapes, collecting orbs of light as they go in order to stave off the crushing darkness that is always following them in platformer Crowman & Wolfboy.
Players will have to guide the two creatures as they help each other across each dangerous, barren world in search of humans. They will use various platforming powers that they unlock over the course of the game to get through, clambering around platforms, gliding, dashing, and rolling in order to make their next jump and stay ahead of the wall of darkness that is always following behind them.
Players can strive to just beat each of the game’s thirty levels and find out the story of the lost humans, or they can further challenge themselves with hidden items, bonus objectives, and other activities that increase the difficulty but offer new insights into the game’s story and world. Players don’t have to do these things on their first run, though, as they can revisit past stages with new abilities to grab hard-to-reach items.
