Final Fantasy XIV just got its Patch 4.05 update today, and with it comes a variety of job adjustments in PvE as well as PvP. It also adds new items, a new Treasure Hunt, new Allagan Tomestones, and more.
First, here’s a look at some adjustments for PvE actions:
Paladin
- Oath Mastery – The Oath Gauge will no longer be halved when switching between the two oaths.
- Holy Spirit- Potency reduced from 430 to 400.
Marauder/Warrior
- Defiance – The Beast Gauge will no longer be halved when Deliverance is executed while under the effect of Defiance.
- Deliverance – The Beast Gauge will no longer be halved when Defiance is executed while under the effect of Deliverance.
- Storm’s Path – Combo potency increased from 250 to 270.
- Unchained – Beast Gauge cost has been removed.
- Steel Cyclone – The additional effect “Absorbs a portion of damage dealt as HP” has been added.
- Inner Release – Beast Gauge cost has been removed.
Dark Knight
- Souleater – Combo potency increased from 280 to 300.
Dark Arts combo potency increased from 420 to 440. - Quietus – The additional effect “Restores own MP” has been added.
Dragoon
- Elusive Jump – Recast time reduced from 60 to 30 seconds.
- Blood of the Dragon – Duration increased from 15 to 20 seconds.
- Sonic Thrust – The combo bonus “Increases Blood of the Dragon duration by 10s to a maximum of 30s” has been added.
- Dragon Sight – Range increased from 6 to 12 yalms.
- Lance Mastery – Potency increase changed from 30 to 100.
- Mirage Dive – Animation lock after executing Mirage Dive has been shortened.
Ninja
- Gust Slash – Combo potency reduced from 220 to 200.
Machinist
- Quick Reload – Quick Reload no longer reduces the Heat Gauge.
- Hot Shot – Increased physical damage effect changed from 5% to 8%.
Increase to Heat Gauge reduced from 10 to 5. - Spread Shot – Increase to Heat Gauge reduced from 10 to 5.
- Barrel Stabilizer – Recast time reduced from 120 to 60 seconds.
- Heated Split Shot – Increase to Heat Gauge reduced from 10 to 5.
- Heated Slug Shot – Increase to Heat Gauge reduced from 10 to 5.
- Heated Clean Shot – Increase to Heat Gauge reduced from 10 to 5.
- Rook Overload – Potency increased from 400 to 800.
- Bishop Overload – Potency increased from 300 to 600.
Thaumaturge/Black Mage
- Fire – MP cost reduced.
- Fire IV – Cast time reduced from 3 to 2.8 seconds.
- Blizzard IV –MP cost reduced. Cast time reduced from 3 to 2.8 seconds.
- Foul – MP cost reduced to 0.
- Triplecast – Recast time reduced from 90 to 60 seconds.
Summoner
- Dreadwyrm Trance – Aetherflow actions are no longer required to inflict an effect on a target to gain Aethertrail Attunement.
White Mage
- Plenary Indulgence – Party members will no longer be granted a Confession when HP is restored via Cure and Cure II. They will instead be granted a Confession when HP is restored via Medica, Medica II, or Cure III.
The chance of granting party members a Confession has been increased from 20% to 100%.
The duration of the Confession has been reduced from 30 to 10 seconds.
Healing potency based on the number of stacks of Confession has been reduced from 400 for one stack, 500 for two stacks, and 600 for three stacks to 150 for one stack, 300 for two stacks, and 450 for three stacks.
Recast time increased from 15 to 60 seconds.
Confession stacks will now also be granted to the player casting Medica, Medica II, or Cure III. - Secret of the Lily – Chance healing a party member via Cure will add a Lily to the Healing Gauge increased from 50% to 100%.
Scholar
- Emergency Tactics – Recast time reduced from 30 to 20 seconds.
- Indomitability – Healing potency increased from 400 to 500.
- Excogitation – Healing potency increased from 650 to 800.
Duration increased from 30 to 45 seconds.
Recast time reduced from 60 to 45 seconds. - Fey Union – Range increased from 10 to 15 yalms.
The Faerie Gauge will no longer deplete when channeling from Fey Union is interrupted. - Aetherpact – Aetherflow actions are no longer required to inflict an effect on a target to increase the Faerie Gauge.
- Quickened Aetherflow – Reduction to the recast time of Aetherflow changed from 10 to 5 seconds.
Chance to reduce the recast time of Aetherflow increased from 20% to 100%.
Astrologian
- The Balance (Single Target) – Increase to damage dealt reduced from 20% to 10%.
- The Spear (Single Target) – The effect of this ability has been changed from “Reduces ability recast time for a party member or self by 20% for 20 seconds” to “Increases the critical hit rate for a party member or self by 10% for 20 seconds.”
- The Balance (Area of Effect) – Increase to damage dealt reduced from 10% to 5%.
- The Spear (Area of Effect) – The effect of this ability has been changed from “Reduces ability recast time for a party member or self by 10% for 20 seconds” to “Increases the critical hit rate for target and all nearby party members by 5% for 20 seconds.”
- Undraw – Recast time reduced from 5 to 3 seconds.
- Hyper Lightspeed – No longer reduces the recast time of Lightspeed upon restoring critical HP with Benefic or Benefic II. The recast time of Lightspeed will now be reduced upon executing Essential Dignity.
Reduction to the recast time of Lightspeed changed from 5 to 10 seconds.
Healer Role Actions
- Esuna – MP cost reduced.
The Lost Canals of Uznair has been added
The Lost Canals of Uznair, a special instance similar to the Aquapolis, can be accessed after finding and opening treasure coffers obtained from gazelleskin treasure maps. Here, players will have the chance to explore long-abandoned ruins filled with treasure.
New Housing Items
The raid dungeon Omega: Deltascape
Similar to past Savage difficulty content, it’ll require higher average item levels for players to participate. Version 1 starts at i310, Version 2 at i315, Version 3 and Version 4 at i320.
New items have been added
Gear based on the grand prize winner of the Gear Design Contest (Tank Edition) has been implemented. DPS and healer gear based on this design has also been implemented.
New recipes have been added
New mounts and minions have been added
