Ribbert’s Adventure Uses Its Froggy Hero’s Tongue For Platforming, Grappling, & More

Drawing inspiration from games like Klonoa, Ribbert’s Adventure takes players to a cute, colorful 2.5D world, having them use their frog hero’s tongue for many different platforming tasks.

The frog hero of Ribbert’s Adventure can put its tongue to varied use as players make their way through various fields and caverns. They can use the tongue to grab onto objects, clobber enemies, grapple on certain platforms, and generally move through stages filled with pits and platforming problems. Players will also meet several strange people and silly creatures along the way, making some friends for their green hero.

Ribbert’s Adventure is still early in development, but a prototype is available through the game’s entry on the TIGSource Forums. Players who wish to follow development of the bouncy, cheerful platformer can do so through the developer’s Tumblr.
