Genkai Tokki: Castle Panzers Trailer Shows Us Everything About Its Battles

Compile Heart shared a new trailer demonstrating the battles of Genkai Tokki: Castle Panzers, the recently released RPG that has different underwear for battle styles instead of job classes.

The video starts out with a look at its different styles that come from equipping different kinds of underwear. You can read more about their characteristics and see more on that in our previous report.

The battle system is pretty simple, it uses up AP for actions such as movement and attacking. You can also inspect monsters and such before going into battle so that you can switch out underwear for a style that goes better for the enemies you’re about the fight.

You’ll also need to do some inspecting during battle to see what kind of attacks do or don’t work against enemies. You might find yourself in situations where your attacks do 0 damage, so you’ll want to inspect the monster to see what works best.

The game also uses a “Pheromone Attribute” system which is kind of like a weapon triangle system that involves the three types of attributes of “Red,” “Green,” and “Blue” pheromones that all allies and enemies have.

We also get to other features such as the moving castle used to shoot its powerful cannon shot to deal heavy damage or even break walls on the battlefield, as well as the characteristic Compile Heart massaging feature.

Genkai Tokki: Castle Panzers is available in Japan for PlayStation 4.
