For the first time in a Sword Art Online game, the protagonist will be the player avatar character with plenty of customization and status options. Bandai Namco shared the latest screenshots and details.
After making your own character with customization options with gender and appearances, you’ll get to put in stats for STR, VIT, INT, AGI, DEX, and LUK that affect combat style. This allows for more options for certain equipment, or just to have stats with more speed or resistance to suit your play style.
The player-made character can be played in both offline and online, and also via co-op or single-player mode.
After the avatar is created, you’ll login to Gun Gale Online to join your childhood friend Kureha and will meet a variety of new characters such as Zeliska, a mysterious woman and incredible solo-player of GGO.
As previously reported, Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet will let you create your own AI support partners as part of the ArFA-Sys )Artificial Financial Adviser System). This new feature lets you customize a partner with gender, voice, etc. according to your own preference and they will grow like other players in the game. They’ll not only help out in battles but also with assets and items.
Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet releases worldwide in early 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
