Red Candle Games’ Detention Arrives On The PlayStation 4

Recommended Videos

People in the Americas have a rather notable game to play this week. Red Candle Games, a Taiwanese developer, has released Detention on the PlayStation Store. This $12.99 game first launched on PCs in January 2017 after a demo appeared on Greenlight in 2016.

Detention is a 2D, atmospheric side-scroller. Players follow two students who find themselves trapped at Greenwood High School, their school. There are both real and supernatural dangers, as the game takes place in Taiwan in the 1960’s, a region under martial law. To survive the cursed school, you’ll need to solve puzzles with items and hide from otherworldly creatures.
