Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that it had sold over 5.9 million units of PlayStation 4 consoles along with 55.9 million PS4 games during the 2017 holiday season.

- PS4 has sold through to consumers more than 5.9 million units during the 2017 holiday season.
- PS4 has now cumulatively sold through more than 73.6 million units globally as of December 31, 2017.
- More than 55.9 million PS4 games were sold during the 2017 holiday season in retail stores worldwide and through digital downloads on PlayStation Store. This totals up to 645.0 million copies cumulatively sold as of December 31, 2017.

The PlayStation 4 system is currently available in 127 countries and regions worldwide. The number of retail sales to consumers is estimated by SIE, with PS4 sales data in Japan and Asia collected from November 20 to December 31, 2017, in North America and Latin America from November 19 to December to December 30, and in Europe from November 20 to December 31.
