Senran Kagura Producer Kenichiro Takaki Tries Out Gal Gun 2

Inti Creates recently invited Senran Kagura series producer Kenichiro Takaki, and Ubisoft Japan PR Manager Ranko Fukui to their offices in order to try out Gal Gun 2.

In the gameplay videos we see more of the surprisingly frantic shooter in action, as well as the Demon Sweeper’s vacuum function. Takaki talked about how he was a fan of how the series combines nostalgic rail shooter action with a perverted premise he could get behind. He also suggested improvements for a ‘Double Peace’ version of the game, such as being able to only suck up undergarments instead.

Meanwhile, Fukui talked about how she originally belittled the game before playing it as just another perverted game. However, the game is so busy that she decided to focus on getting a good score, forsaking the extra function of the Demon Sweeper entirely. She thinks it’s an interesting game, and it would be interesting to watch her female friends play it so she could enjoy the silly situations in the game more.

The staff also explained a bit more about score and combo mechanics, where it was revealed that sucking up uniforms with the vacuum function was actually detrimental as it would take long enough for the combo multiplier to end. However, the staff left that up to player choice.

Regarding the Demon Sweeper, the development team also had to debate over whether swimsuits should be added to the game as well. Also, the weapon can be upgraded throughout the game to become more powerful.
