Carrying Four Weapons Adds A Little Strategy To Blazing Chrome’s Run N’ Gun Action

By Joel Couture . April 24, 2018 . 6:00pm

Blazing Chrome doesn’t force players to pick one or two of its guns to use, but will allow them to keep one of each of them once they’ve been collected, tasking players to know which to use in their current situation.

Blazing Chrome offers four different guns, giving players bouncing bombs, beam chains, lasers, and machine guns, each with their own firing style. They work best in various situations, so players can swap between them at will once they’ve been collected, allowing them to decide what will work when swarmed with hordes of tiny foes, under heavy fire, or dealing with a huge, hostile boss. They will still lose the equipped gun upon death (except for the base machine gun), though, so they may have to recover lost weapons if they’re clumsy.

Players won’t just be using guns to get through the game’s shootouts, though. Players can acquire satellite robots that will return fire against enemies, absorb hits, and otherwise help out in a fight. Also, there will be several vehicles, like mechs or speeder bikes, that will offer players new ways to tackle a stage or to fight through the game’s mechanical foes.

Blazing Chrome is projected to release in 2018.
