Last month, CoroCoro teased “shocking” news for Splatoon 2, which would be revealed on their website. The day of reckoning has come and passed, and the surprise turned out to be… spy outfits.
If you ignore the shorts, it looks cool.
The new spy gear is actually a collaboration with the Splatoon manga that’s currently ongoing in CoroCoro. The manga is starting a new story chapter based on Octo Expansion, and main character Goggle-kun will be wearing a spy outfit in the manga.
The method of receiving the gear has not been revealed, but more news on the gear is coming in the June 15 issue of CoroCoro. There’s also apparently ‘another secret’ regarding the spy gear, which will be revealed on July 9, 2018.
Splatoon 2 is available for Nintendo Switch.
