An official teaser trailer for Life is Strange 2 has been released. While we do not see any major characters, it is a surprisingly informative. The almost one minute long spot shows dash camera footage from an officer known as K. Matthews as he encounters something unexpected. It also notes that an official reveal will arrive on August 20, 2018.
Here is the Life is Strange 2 teaser.
As this Life is Strange 2 trailer begins, we see that the events in Matthews’ footage is happening at just before 5pm on October 28, 2016. This puts the events of the sequel three years after the original Life is Strange. (Also, as a reminder, Skip Matthews was a Blackwell Academy security officer in Life is Strange: Before the Storm.) A few minutes after the video begins, it cuts ahead to a future time after an officer asks for a license check on an unidentified person or vehicle. Matthews pulls up to a house, calling in a 10-10 at 1452 Lewis Avenue. That is the police code for a fight in progress. He says he is going to need backup. After he exits the car to deal with the situation, we see a supernatural display of force.
Life is Strange 2’s first episode will be released on September 27, 2018 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
