Back in 2011, Felix Klein and his team at Radical Fish began working on the action-RPG CrossCode. It entered Steam Early Access in May 2015. Now, on September 20, 2018, the game will officially launch. Version 1.0 was announced on Steam.

An array of CrossCode version 1.0 inclusions was announced. The game’s storyline will apparently double, and this time include a German translation. Lots of new places to explore will arrive, including Rhombus Square city, a new dungeon, an undisclosed new area, and improvements to places people already know about. There will be more party members, enemies (13 bosses and 9 standard foes), and 12 more quests. Various quality of life additions, like menu adjustments, were confirmed and hopeful inclusions, like achievements and trading cards, were teased.

CrossCode will continue to be updated after launch. Things to hopefully appear include a New Game+ option, a Last Minute Hero Guild, an Arena in Rhombus Square, more Rhombus square maps and quests, and perhaps the enemies, NPCs, and quests promised in the Indiegogo campaign.

CrossCode is currently in Early Access for PCs.

The CrossCode soundtrack was also revealed during the announcement. Once it launches, the total length will go up to 64 tracks, over 20 being new. The Deniz “Intero” Akbulut work will be released on September 20, 2018 and can be preordered via Bandcamp.
