KanColle Is Jumping Ship Girls To HTML5 With A Major Maintenance Starting August 15

Kantai Collection has been readying to make its jump from Flash to HTML5 and it was announced on the developer’s official Twitter account that it’ll happen following a three-day maintenance starting August 15.

Currently, Kantai Collection runs on Flash but following the maintenance, it will be KanColle Season 2 (HTML5) [Block-1] that uses HTML5 as a base. Following the change to Block-1, you won’t notice too many differences in functions or appearances, but there will be some adjustments to its sort system.

Again, with Block-1 the game screen will be displayed in higher resolution so its ship girls will be more detailed than ever.

The maintenance starts on August 15, 2018 at 11:55am JST. It is expected to end on August 17 at around 6:00pm JST.

Kantai Collection is available on PC browsers. You can read more details about what the switch to HTML5 means here.
