Project Judge Is Pretty Much Detective Kimura Takuya ga Gotoku, Here’s Some Demo Footage

Recommended Videos

While Project Judge might not be as “completely different” from anything Yakuza series creator Toshihiro Nagoshi has done before, we’re totally okay with what we’ve seen so far from the demo.

Here’s some footage of the demo that was released yesterday in Japan along with the announcement of the game, starting with a video from Isara-Channel, who says the battle system feels pretty much the same as Yakuza:

In Project Judge you take on the role of Takayuki Yagami (CV: Takuya Kimura), an ex-defense lawyer turned private detective who was betrayed by one of his former clients that ruined his reputation for being a fraud who lets murderers run free. In the game he gets caught up in a serial murder case and will need to push his investigative skills to their limit to solve it.

You can also check out some more footage from fei Channel below:

The game is described as a courtroom thriller, but as you can see in the footage, it has plenty of action in Yakuza style. To get a better idea, you can check out a collection of EX Actions (basically Heat Actions) in the following video:

Project Judge launches in Japan, Asia, and South Korea on December 13, 2018 for PlayStation 4. The game launches in the West in 2019. The demo is currently available in Japan and available for free to try out at the Japanese PlayStation Store. Check out our previous report for more information on the game and its characters.
