God Eater 3 has a new demo for TGS 2018 and V-Jump shared some footage from the expo, providing us with a look at several battles as well as improvements made from the Development Summit back in April.

The first video shows the TGS 2018 demo, where we get to see different weapons in action several Aragami, such as Barbarius, Habakiri, and Anubis.

The next video is a summary of various improvements made since the Development Summit event. The first one we see is that there are now five different options of camera distances ranging from close to far. They also brought back the double jumps during Burst.

When your characters run out of stamina you’ll now see a look of struggle in their faces, so they won’t have the same expression when they should look more exhausted.

There’s a variety of adjustments for battle with most of them being quality-of-life improvements such as being able to go through enemies by using a step. Previously it caused players to get stuck on monsters at times.

The “Dive” mechanic has been adjusted so that when you hit enemies it’ll do more damage the higher your armor defense is. All God Arc action cancel frames have also been adjusted to give it a smoother flow. It now feels closer to the older God Eater games. Guard Devour is now possible as well.

You can now perform directional attacks right after performing a step, whereas previously you could only attack towards the direction of your step.

Starting at the 5:20 mark of the video we get to see the latest action from the following weapons in the order of: Short Blade, Long Blade, Buster Blade, Boost Hammer, Charge Spear, Variant Scythe, Biting Edge, Heavy Moon, Assault Gun, Shotgun, and Ray Gun.

God Eater 3 releases in Japan on December 13, 2018 for PlayStation 4. It’ll release in the West for PS4 and PC in 2019.
