Pokemon GO is adding a new feature called Adventure Sync, that essentially streamlines the egg hatching process by recording your walking distances even when the game isn’t launched.
Adventure Sync will not only allow you to hatch eggs, but can also earn you Candy via the Trainer Profile. Adventure Sync will deliver a summary each week with your stats, and you earn rewards based on milestones crossed. This feature is opt-in, and it will connect to Apple Health and Google Fit on Apple and Android devices respectively.
Meanwhile, the Taiwanese government has announced that they are working together with Pokemon GO to host the next Safari Zone event from November 1 to November 5, 2018, between 10:30am and 4:30pm CST. [Thanks, Bahamut!]
The event will take place across many Pokestops in Tainan, and will feature the Unown letters “T.A.I.N.A.N. Z.O.N.E.” as well as Relicanth, which is usually not available in Taiwan. There will be Pikachu and Eevee meet-and-greet events and parades, and Pikachu hats will be out in the plaza in front of Chimei Museum during the event period.
